Hello everyone, my name is Tina and I am the owner/operator of Karachi Cineplex. Due to laws and regulations, we had to shut down our movie theater during covid. It was dangerous times as the virus was spreading and infections millions of people. It was single handedly putting people’s lives on hold and for some, ending them. It was very sad times. We had struggled to pay the bills for the upkeep and maintenance of the theater and we were dollars away from having to shut down operations forever. But we had some very generous donations and grants from anonymous sources and we were granted a PPP loan from the government, which was gracefully forgiven because we were honestly never going to be able to re pay it. But now we are back and open and operational. We have been showing the new Marvel movies and they have been a big hit amongst our patrons. But we are struggling to keep our doors open as we are hemorrhaging money trying to stay open and serve our customers. Covid has nearly killed us, literally, but now all the streaming services are threatening to close our doors for good because no one wants to leave the comfort of their home anymore to watch a movie when they can just stay home and watch it on HBO max or another service. This is a plea to our community that if you want to continue to experience a move theater, you must get out of your homes and come visit us monthly. We have good ticket and food prices and we still offer a good time here. Thank you for your continued patronage
